I have not updated my blog in a while so I figured I would put up some of the work that I have been doing as of late. Some of the pictures where we are dressed up are from when we went to Vegas for Halloween. And then The other random pictures for from my trip to Yosemite for Thanksgiving and the LACMA. Just on another side note If you have never been to LACMA you should totally go there because it is by far some of the coolest art that I have seen. Its funny because you learn about the art in class and you don't think anything about it but when you see it there in person its amazing to look at. And then there are the two random pictures that are in the middle that just have me and my roommate in my room. We just got bored so i started to take some pictures. And that is what I have been doing as of late.

Pictures From Late
Well I haven't put up pictures in a while so I figured I would post some from a while ago. These were taken at the start of summer. I was backstage at my friends show in hollywood CA, at the Trubador; which was really cool to be back stage at such a famous venue. These are three pictures from back stage and the band that my two friends are in is Jaymes Reunion. But their side project that I was taking pictures for was called Said Ronnie.
The really interesting part of the room that we where hanging out in was the cool lighting because it was a really small room with only one light bulb. Making it very hard to take pictures in the room because of the low lighting situation making it so that I had to shoot at a very high ISO.

Yosemite!
Here are a few pictures that I took while over my spring break out at Yosemite National Park. I have lived in California all my life and 3 hours away from Yosemite and I had never been out there so I thought that it was about time that I had made a road trip out there. So me and my friend Justin set out on a Friday night at 4am because we were"smart" and did not get a camp ground. So we drove for 3 hours at night to get there in time to see the sun rise. The only problem was that we had both been up all day and we got there about an hour before the sun came up. So we decided to take a nap before the sun came up. And guess what we ended up sleeping past the sun rise and waking up at about 8:30am because it was freezing out there it felt like it was at like 35degrees if not colder in the morning. But we stayed for the rest of the day and left the park at about 4 in the afternoon. These are some of the pictures that I took while we where there.
picture of me and justin, but justin is in the back trying to get into the car dukes of hazard style because he took off his shoes and didn't want to step on the ground.
This is a panoramic picture and if you click on it, it should enlarge.
This is just a picture from the valley, you can see half dome in the back.
This is just a picture of some trees that i liked the way that the light was falling on them and though them.

The Only Good Part About the Getty
So last weekend I went to the Getty for like the 5th time in my life which I think is 4 times too many because there is nothing really there that is worth seeing more then once every 20 years but the cool thing that I did see while I was there was this photo exhibition by this Photographer named Jeff Liao, and it inspired me to make some work. For his style of photography is very similar to my own style so I think that I am going to try to make a body of work from that idea. So i just would like to say thank you to Jeff Liao for giving me inspiration to actually get excited to do something in photography again.
New Stuido Lighting work...
Here are a few pictures that I have been working on in my studio lighting class. The the project was to take pictures of things that I felt I liked/natural/disliked. So the objects that to chose to take pictures of where baseball caps. It was not that they are hats that I like to wear more then the other but it is what is one that hat that makes me like one hat more then the other one. The way that I lit each one of these hats I was trying to show how I felt about each one. Being from the San Francisco area I am a Giants fan. So I gave the look of that hat a spot lit feeling with it almost being as though there was a heavenly light shining down upon it. Then the Cubs hat is just lit like a normal product shot with just one light above the hat. Then there is the Dodger hat that is lit in the shadows as if the only thing that I want you to see is the LA logo so that you can still see what the object is but that at the same time you should be ashamed of what that object is.
And these are just some of the work that I have been doing. But the other problem that I had was that my back up drive with all my pictures on it crashed so I lost about 2 years worth of photos. So it is as if I am having to start all over again from scratch. I learned my lesson now though always back up my shit.

They fixed Firefox!
So the problem that I was having with firefox before with the coloring is a problem no more. With the newest version I just downloaded it fixed the desaturated problem that was happening with it. Now if they would only fix the problem I'm having with it locking up on me all the time...
